Quarryman’s cottage

“Wow what an amazing place to stay! The cottage is absolutely beautiful, it is very clean, modern and has everything you need for your stay. It is set in stunning surroundings which are breath taking. Sitting out on the terrace at the end of the day with a glass of wine admiring the views is definitely a must. We holidayed as a family of 3 and our 20 month old loved exploring the grounds around the cottage and the local walks. He loved climbing the spiral staircase and splashing about in the large bath tub. There is lots to do in the area, from going to the Anchor Pub for lunch and sitting on the pebble beach in Seatown to driving along the Jurassic Coast to Weymouth. Louise is an amazing host. She is very personable and wants to make sure you have a great time. Louise was full of information on what to do and even sent us information prior to our break. We have been home a week now and are really missing this gem of a place to stay. Natalie, Dan and little Jack” DANIEL

“What an incredible place! A beautiful, modern, clean and cozy cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the most stunning location. We stayed for the weekend and loved the time spent just enjoying the scenery and views from the deck and the windows throughout the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped and my wife in particular enjoyed the fabulous bathtub in the huge bathroom. Louise is a very welcoming host, great at communicating and very thoughtful with ensuring you have everything you need for your stay” PAUL

“This was the BEST Airbnb experience. Everything was incredible from Louise’s thoughtful messages during the stay, to the high standard of accommodation & attention to detail in the property. Great quality bedding & towels, idyllic setting, privacy, information on hand & all packaged together perfectly. We loved being here, adored the wood burner & will definitely be back. Thank you Louise.” KAREN

“This was by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. Our stay was for my 25th birthday and on arrival Lou had a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us. I can definitely see why she is a Superhost as she was brilliant. The house was immaculate and the views were incredible. We will definitely be coming back for another visit!” MICA

“Louise was a fantastic host who continually went the extra mile to make our stay free really special. As this was for our mini moon we were even treated to a beautiful gift and bottle of fizz on arrival! Plus a gorgeous Christmas tree and fresh flowers! Immaculate cottage kitted our with everything we needed for the week. Fabulous farm shop nearby and loads of stuff to explore and enjoy locally. The walk across Golden Cap on Christmas Eve to The Anchor pub was very special. Highly recommend and we’ll be back for our anniversary for sure! Thanks Lou! X” - ABI

“This place is special in the best of ways, for a start it’s in a fantastic position on a hillside with a breathtaking outlook. It is a 100% private hideaway while still being within strolling distance of local villages, and with stunning walks to Dorset’s glorious cliffs and seaside towns straight from the door. This lovely little historic building has been superbly, sensitively and tastefully renovated, so it’s comfortable and cosy but also uplifting and spacious at the same time.” - PAT

“The best Airbnb we have stayed in! Louise had thought of all the extra touches from a Xmas tree, fresh lilies, chilled Prosecco and the views were to die for. A perfect private escape for couples. Star gazing from the bath was sensational.” - GAIL

“5/5 for everything, Louises place ticks all the boxes. From the warm and friendless of the host to the stunning location. We loved every part of the cottage and all the thoughtful touches that made our stay here very special. We can’t wait to re-visit!” - HEPZABETH

“Wow! what a treat this place is. Sitting in the bath tub surrounded by candles and looking out at the stars! Louise was the perfect host, She has paid attention to fine details - everything including a Christmas tree. We had a great time going on lovely walks and strolls along the beach at the nearby town. I'm sure we will be regulars!” - OLIVIA

“We came to West Bullen for a last minute weekend away, and couldn't have found anywhere more perfect. Lou is a friendly, generous and welcoming host - she was super quick to respond to messages, offered lots of brilliant recommendations, and waited up for us on Friday night even though we were due to arrive late in the evening. The cottage itself is every bit as wonderful as it looks in the pictures - quiet, private, cosy and beautifully-designed. The bed was comfy, the bath and shower are amazing, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The location is also great (just ten minutes to Lyme Regis in one direction and Bridport/West Bay in the other) with hills, woodland and coast to explore right from the front door. We really enjoyed walking from Langdon Hill woods to Seatown via Golden Cap, and then from Durdle Door to Lulworth Cove the next day. There were so many lovely places to eat nearby - we especially loved Rise in West Bay for breakfast (so good we went twice!) and The Lyme Bay Cafe in Lyme Regis, where we had a delicious dinner on Saturday evening. All in all, a perfect stay and we can't wait to visit again. Thank you, Lou! - MADDY

“A perfect little cottage, with unbelievable views! A couples hideaway to die for, and an absolute bonus you can take your furry friend. Really lovely touches with a Christmas tree and festive foliage, really great hosts couldn't ask for more.” - NIAPH

“Booked as a surprise break for my girlfriend's birthday and we definitely weren't disappointed. First place we have stayed in that was as great if not better, than the photos looked. Louise welcomed us and our husky, showed us around and gave us great tips on the local area. All rooms were perfect, especially the bathroom! The bed was extremely comfy. If you don't have dogs don't let the fact dogs are allowed put you off, you would never know they are allowed as everywhere is spotless. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and we hope to return in the summer.” - CHRIS

“Louise's place was absolutely perfect. We spent a couple of nights there after our wedding and it was everything we'd hoped for. It's beautifully finished, in a great secluded location with loads to do nearby. Louise went out of her way to make it extra special for us and gave fantastic recommendations of places to go. We only regret we couldn't stay longer and can't wait to go back.” - ABBY

“Louise’s place was one of the nicest Airbnb places we have stayed in & we really enjoyed our stay. It’s beautifully styled inside, very clean, very comfortable & relaxing to be in & has the most beautiful views. It is perfectly placed for exploring the countryside & coastline along South West Coastal Path. Louise was very passionate about the area & had lots of local information for us. We enjoyed several long walks during our stay starting from Quarryman’s Cattage & found Morcombelake conveniently placed for visits to Lyme Regis Charmouth & Bridport There is a lovely farm-shop within easy reach, a bus stop nearby & we enjoyed a couple of meals & cocktails at The Anchor Inn in Seatown. I can’t recommend this place highly enough & would love to re-visit in the summer.” - KATE

“Absolutely beautiful place! It has been done to such a high standard and is gorgeous. It has everything you would need for a stay, and the bed is super comfy! In a fantastic, quiet location with a sea view and easy to walk down to the coastal path and beach. Lou is a fab host, easily contactable, really helpful and generally lovely. I have already recommended it to friends and family and would definitely return.” - JENNIFER

“This place is even more beautiful in reality than you can see in the pictures. If you’re looking for a private, rural escape that is also close to nature look no further. With an old heritage feel on the outside the cottage is completely modern on the inside but has all the cosy feels of a cottage (read fireplace, window seats). The view from the roof terrace is stunning and you feel you’ve been transported to a different world when you step onto it each morning. Lou is the most friendly and supportive host I’ve come across which made our stay even more enjoyable. We had an amazing time and will surely be back some day. :)” - SWATI

What a lovely cottage! We arrived in horrendous weather but Louise still greeted us and showed us into the cottage personally. The whole place is decorated beautifully, just like in the pictures! The log burner was just what we needed after a day of nothing but rain and wind! Would highly recommend booking to stay if you're considering it, and I am sure we will be back! - NIKKI

The cottage was perfect , amazing countryside views , nicely hidden and private . We went for a walk in the wind and rain to golden cap but I couldn’t wait to return to the cottage and relax in the bath with some wine. The host could not have been any more helpful , Louise greeted us late evening in horrendous weather to help show us the cottage , I don’t think we would of found it without her . We will hope to return again. - MICHEALA

Louise’s place is even better in person that it looks online. A beautiful cottage with everything that you need, plus some seriously luxurious extras such as a very comfy bed and an amazing bath. The views are absolutely outstanding and the setting feels so rural and peaceful, it was perfect for us and our dog to have his own space to explore. The area is also fantastic, Louise can give brilliant tips on where to head. We particularly loved exploring Lyme Regis which has so many lovely places to eat and drink. We are saving our pennies to go back ASAP! If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful break with amazingly walks on your doorstop this is the perfect place. - JESSICA

Spending 3 nights at the Quarrymans cottage was an absolute pleasure. The cottage is beautiful, styled in a lovely way with a mixture of old and new pieces. The setting is idyllic, views over the golden cap and surrounding landscape, perfect to watch the sunset. All the facilities you could need across the whole cottage. Some very thoughtful touches from Louise, fabulous hosting from booking to checkout, incredible friendly, approachable, kind and very knowledgeable about the local area. We cant wait to come back x - HARRIETTE

the studio

“Lou’s annexe is wonderfully located at the top of a hill overlooking beautiful Dorset countryside and coastline. It is spacious, clean and well equipped with a very comfortable and spacious double bed. Lou was a great host going out of her way to accommodate everything you could need.” VICTORIA

“Louise is a very attentive hostess. She provided us with lots of detail on the property, surrounding area and places to visit. She was welcoming and thoughtful - a bottle of wine was left for my husband for his birthday - so kind. The property is beautifully kept, warm, clean and with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Thoroughly recommend staying here and the Dorset coast is just breathtaking. Great for dog walks and pub lunches and dinners. Everywhere welcomes you and your dogs.” - SAMANTHA

“The studio offers a real home from home feel. It’s inviting and cosy. The bed and linen are comfortable and offers a quality nights sleep. The property is situated at the top of the hill so is fairly secluded which was ideal for a relaxed and quiet getaway. Be sure to take a breathe in the secluded garden- the views are stunning. Annoyingly for us we’re quite particular about cleanliness and can be left disappointed but you needn’t worry here as everything was spotless. As we were leaving Louise was taking down the curtains to be refreshed- a job I’m sure mainly may forget. Louises recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed dinner out at The Anchor followed by a walk along the beach which was stunning. You won’t be at all dissatisfied with your stay here.” - NATASHA

Lou’s place is lovely and compact, full of everything you could need even a full ice cube tray for a cool drink when you arrive. The location is fab with lots of lovely walks from the studio and Lou was on hand to give us lots of local tips. We had a fantastic stay :) - FRANKY

Louise met us on arrival and was very informative about walks and places to eat. She also was kind enough to give us some milk for a very necessary cup of tea to go with the biscuits that she had put in the room. The annex is well-designed, well-equipped and feels airy and spacious. The location is excellent for the coast and for local walks including to the relatively quiet beach at Seatown and to Hardown Hill with it's amazing 360 degree views, a short steep walk above the property. All in all an excellent Airbnb. Thanks, Louise. - TIM

This place is a lovely little hideaway located up a quiet track. We walked to Golden Cap with our dog and onto Seatown for a pub lunch. Close to the coast but away from it all. Louise was a great host with all the info needed. - LYNETTE

Fantastic base for exploring Dorset with thoughtful and helpful host. Well worth a stay! - ZOE

A stylish modern retreat that is also close to all that south Dorset has to offer. Good for walkers. Equally good for those like us who take the car out to visit places. (Be aware - there’s plenty of narrow single track roads but you get used to it). A brilliant host, look out for Louise’s new stunning cottage. IAIN

Had such a lovely stay. Louise and family are so welcoming. Went on great walks with the dog. Beautiful weather - loved sitting in garden with the view. Comfy bed and good shower! Easy to get to the beautiful Lyme Regis. HOLLIE

We stayed at Louise’s annex for the weekend, we only had two hole days but managed to fit a lot in with the recommendations from Louise. The annex is lovely, it’s has its own private garden looking over Dorset and everything you need. Louise was really helpful, when we checked in she let us know what was going on for the weekend so we managed to maximise our time there. Louise was also very approachable and was happy to answer any questions. The annex is in a perfect location, you can walk to the end of the road and get a bus into Lyme Regis or Bridport (about 15 mins for both), there’s also a art gallery, farm shop and lovely breakfast place within walking distance. You can also walk to the golden cap from the annex which I would highly recommend. Thanks for having us!! SOMA
